Gelato is the Italian version of ice cream. It differs from other ice creams in many ways. Most ice creams on the market today contains 18 - 25% butter fat. Our many cream based flavors that are made with milk and heavy cream, contain only 4 - 7% fat and 130 - 170 calories.

The sorbets are made with a water base and fresh fruit. They contain no dairy, less then 1% fat and only 120 -160 calories.

With signifacantly less butter fat, the flavor is intensified because fat tends to coat the tongue and block the taste buds.

Unlike ice cream, gelato machinary whips almost no air into the gelato, resulting in a dense and more flavorful product. This allows the non dairy sorbets to match and some times exceed the dairy based gelato or ice cream for taste.
